Who we are
Integer Robotics Education (IRE) was founded by a group of determined high school students driven by a passion for engineering and a conviction that every student deserves a fair shot at extraordinary opportunities. We embarked on our journey in robotics, mastering coding and design, and our efforts culminated in qualifying for the VEX Robotics World Championships during our inaugural season. This experience not only highlighted our potential but also revealed a troubling reality: countless students, particularly in underserved communities, lack access to the hands-on STEM education that transformed our lives.
This realization prompted the inception of Integer Robotics Education. Our mission is straightforward yet essential: to eliminate this disparity and ensure every student, regardless of their background, can access the skills and knowledge that robotics fosters, such as creativity and problem-solving. Today, IRE operates as a student-run nonprofit directly engaging with Title I schools and community centers.
We conduct robotics workshops, mentor emerging teams, and provide instruction in coding and engineering fundamentals. Our programs are entirely free, grounded in the belief that education should be both empowering and inclusive.
Though we are still students, our status uniquely positions us to connect with our peers. We teach from experience, mentor with understanding, and demonstrate that true impact is not constrained by age. At Integer Robotics Education, we are committed not just to the creation of robots, but to the cultivation of a future where every child possesses the resources and self-assurance necessary to influence the world they inhabit.
